HBKU’s TII Commences Registration for Spring 2024 Language Courses

Doha, January 8, 2024 – The Translation and Interpreting Institute’s (TII) Language Center at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), has opened registration for its Spring 2024 language courses.
Covering 12 languages – Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish – courses begin January 20, 2024. The Center’s qualified staff offer instruction in both classroom or virtual formats, employing proven methodologies and modern technologies to foster an immersive learning environment for their students.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities in their chosen language according to their level of proficiency.
Commenting on the start of the Center’s new semester, Dr. Ameena Hussain, Director, TII Language Center at HBKU’s CHSS, said: “With the start of the new year, the language center opens its registration for the new semester where learners can be introduced to new languages or sharpen their skills in others. Community members of all ages are welcome to join our classes and make the most of this opportunity to learn about languages and cultures.”

الدوحة، 8 يناير 2024: أعلن مركز اللغات التابع لمعهد دراسات الترجمة بكلية العلوم الإنسانية والاجتماعية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة، عن فتح باب التسجيل في دورات اللغات لموسم ربيع 2024.
تغطي الدورات 12 لغة تتضمن: العربية، والصينية (الماندرين)، والإنجليزية، والفرنسية، والألمانية، والإيطالية، واليابانية، والكورية، والبرتغالية، والروسية، والإسبانية، والتركية. وتبدأ الدورات في 20 يناير 2024، حيث يقدم خبراء المركز المؤهلون إرشادات في كل من الفصول الدراسية أو عبر الإنترنت، باستخدام وسائل ذكية وتقنيات حديثة، لتعزيز بيئة تعليمية متميزة لطلابهم.
كما سيتمكن المشاركون من تطوير قدراتهم في التحدث والاستماع والقراءة والكتابة بلغتهم المختارة وفقًا لمستوى كفاءتهم.
وتعليقًا على بدء الفصل الدراسي الجديد للمركز، قالت الدكتورة أمينة حسين، مدير مركز اللغات بمعهد دراسات الترجمة: “مع بداية العام الجديد، يفتح مركز اللغات باب التسجيل لدورات الفصل الدراسي الجديد، حيث يتسنى للمتعلمين التعرف على لغات جديدة أو الارتقاء بمهاراتهم في لغات أخرى، كما نرحب بأفراد المجتمع من جميع الأعمار للانضمام إلى دوراتنا، وتحقيق الاستفادة القصوى من هذه الفرصة لاستكشاف اللغات والثقافات المختلفة”.
وستُعقد الفصول الدراسية في المدينة التعليمية، وبالنسبة للطلاب الذين لديهم معرفة مسبقة بلغة ما، عليهم إجراء اختبار لتحديد المستوى، لاختيار الدورة التي تناسبهم وتلبي تطلعاتهم.
