QNB يوقع اتفاقية خدمات بنكية لنقاط البيع مع الريل
DOHA: QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa region, has signed a landmark merchant agreement with Qatar Rail, which will see the bank join as a strategic partner and the official Acquirer Bank for all TravelCard and Fare Media payments.
The agreement was signed by Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, QNB Group Chief Executive Officer, and Qatar Rail’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Abdulla Abdulaziz T Al Subaie, on the sidelines of Cityscape Qatar exhibition inaugurated by H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani , the Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
This agreement underscores QNB’s commitment towards supporting the country’s economy, by enhancing the role of the private sector and supporting such projects, which will further boost the national economy.
It will ensure that Qatar Rail will be able to accept payments made with all major credit and debit cards issued in Qatar and worldwide. Payments will be possible directly at the stations through the Travel Cards Vending Machines, on a dedicated web site, and through the mobile APP. This will enable the quick, safe and secure purchase of Travel Card and top up as well as facilitate the purchase of limited use cards.
As a strategic partner and the official Acquirer Bank, QNB will offer its support to facilitate payments in this important project which will bolster the development of the transportation sector in Qatar.

وقع QNB، اتفاقية خدمات بنكية لنقاط البيع مع شركة سكك الحديد القطرية “الريل” والتي سيصبح بموجبها الشريك الاستراتيجي والبنك الرسمي لجميع أنظمة الدفع بالبطاقات البنكية الذكية والتحصيل الفوري.
وكان السيد علي أحمد الكواري الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة QNB قد وقع الاتفاقية بالنيابة عن QNB، فيما وقعها بالنيابة عن شركة الرّيل المهندس عبد الله عبد العزيز تركي السبيعي العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي وذلك خلال حفل التوقيع الذي أقيم على هامش معرض سيتي سكيب قطر 2018 العقاري الذي افتتحه معالي الشيخ عبد الله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية.
وتؤكد هذه الاتفاقية التزام المجموعة بدعم اقتصاد الدولة من خلال تعزيز دور القطاع الخاص والشراكة مع الشركات الوطنية للمساهمة بشكل فعال في تنمية الاقتصاد الوطني بوصفها عنصراً أساسياً في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
كما أنها ستتيح لشركة الرّيل تلقي الدفعات التي تتم بواسطة بطاقات الائتمان التي تم إصدارها في دولة قطر وفي الخارج، حيث ستمكن هذه الاتفاقية ركاب المترو من الدفع في المحطات من خلال أجهزة الخدمة الذاتية لبطاقات الدفع الذكية أو الموقع الإلكتروني المخصص للدفع أو تطبيق الهاتف الجوال بكل سهولة ويسر. كما سيسهل ذلك شراء بطاقات الدفع الذكية وشحنها وشراء البطاقات ذات الاستخدام المؤقت.
وبصفته شريكاً استراتيجياً والبنك المحصل لجميع أنظمة الدفع بالبطاقات الذكية والرسوم ستساهم هذه الشراكة في تسهيل عمليات الدفع في هذا المشروع الهام والذي سيدفع تقدم قطاع المواصلات في دولة قطر.
