طلابنا يحصدون المركز الثاني في «ابتكار الكويت للأبحاث»
DOHA: Girl students from Qatar secured second place in the 18th Competition of Kuwait Innovation in Researches and Projects (Ibtikar) for their project “recycling microwave machine”.
The project got rights for patent by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce. The competition held in Kuwait from April 18 to 21.
Qatar participated the competition which targeted the research and projects of students from government schools, represented by the students from Al Bayan Preparatory School for Girls, in cooperation with the Department of Scientific Research Skills at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar Scientific Club.
Kuwait got first place in the category of preparatory schools competition.
The winner Qatari project aims to protect children from electromagnetic radiation, which causes many diseases, such as cancer, epilepsy and other health problems.
The community does not have enough awareness about the risk of microwave which emit electromagnetic radiation through the parts of its doors, said a release.
The victory of girl students from Qatar in this regional scientific competition is a source of pride for the country and at the same time highlights the creativity and enthusiasm of the students, said Dr Asma Al Mohannadi, Head of the Department of Scientific Research Skills at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The competition Ibtikar was launched by Sheikha Fadia Al Saad Al Abdullah Al Sabah in Kuwait for the first time on countrywide in 1999 and then expanded to include the GCC countries in 2011.
In 2014, the competition became part of a major initiative aimed at developing the scientific capabilities of Kuwaiti students in order to qualify them to participate in the competition.
The organising committee of the competition is trying to bring it to new heights by including students from all Arab countries after it was extended from Kuwait to GCC level.
فازت دولة قطر بالمركز الثاني في مسابقة «ابتكار الكويت للأبحاث والمشاريع» الدورة الثامنة عشرة، التي عقدت الأسبوع الماضي، مستهدفة أبحاث ومشاريع طالبات التعليم العام، حيث كانت تمثلها طالبات مدرسة البيان الإعدادية للبنات، بالتعاون مع قسم مهارات البحث العلمي في وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي والنادي العلمي القطري، وقد حصلت الكويت على المركز الأول، وحصلت البحرين على المركز الثالث في فئة مدارس المرحلة الإعدادية.
شارك في العمل على المشروع الطالبتان موزة فهد الكعبي وموزة خالد الهاجري، وأشرفت عليهما المعلمة الفاضلة هيا عايد الشمري، حيث حصل المشروع على براءة اختراع من وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة القطرية.
جاء المشروع القطري الفائز بعنوان «إعادة تدوير جهاز المايكرويف»، ويهدف لحماية الطفل من الإشعاع الكهرومغناطيسي، الذي يسبب للطفل الكثير من الأمراض؛ مثل السرطان، والصرع، وغيرها من المشاكل الصحية، حيث لا يعي المجتمع بمخاطر المايكرويف، وما يبثه من إشعاع كهرومغناطيسي من خلال الأجزاء الموجودة في أبوابه.
أسماء المهندي: فخورون بإبداعات الطلبة
قالت الدكتورة أسماء المهندي، رئيس قسم مهارات البحث العلمي بإدارة المناهج الدراسية ومصادر التعلم: «إن فوز طلبتنا في مثل هذه المسابقات العلمية الإقليمية يعد مفخرة لنا، ويبرز إبداعات وطاقات أبنائنا».
وعن أهداف مشروع إعادة تدوير جهاز الميكروويف، قالت الطالبة موزة خالد الهاجري: «نحن فخورون بتشريفنا وتمثيلنا دولة قطر من خلال الصرح التعليمي العظيم الذي يجمع جميع دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وتبادل الخبرات معهم، وأيضاً بما حققناه من إنجاز ونجاح».;
