تحويل مروري على شارع الفروسية في الاتجاه من دوار الفروسية إلى دوار معيذر
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will close part of Al Furousiya Street, in the three lanes leading from Al Furousiya Roundabout (Equestrian R/A) to Muaither Roundabout, starting from Sunday 1 April 2018 for a period of five months, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, Traffic will be diverted to three lanes parallel to the closed section of Al Furousiya Street, as shown in the attached map.
The diversion aims to enable construction works as part of Al Furousiya Street Development Project, which includes increasing the number of lanes of Al Furousiya Street to four lanes in each direction with a service road on both sides of the street, in order to enhance traffic flow and increase the street capacity to accommodate current and future traffic requirements.
The project also includes converting Al Furousiya and Muaither Roundabouts into signal-controlled intersections to ease traffic congestion in the area, in addition to providing street lighting and pedestrian and cyclist lanes, among other works.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” أنه سيتم إغلاق جزء من شارع الفروسية في المسارات الثلاثة المؤدية من دوار الفروسية إلى دوار معيذر، وذلك اعتباراً من الأحد 1 أبريل 2018 ولمدة خمسة أشهر، وبالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور.
خلال هذه الفترة سيتم تحويل الحركة المرورية إلى ثلاثة مسارات بديلة موازية للجزء المغلق من شارع الفروسية، كما هو موضح في الخريطة المرفقة.
يهدف التحويل المروري إلى إتاحة المجال لتنفيذ الأعمال الإنشائية ضمن مشروع تطوير شارع الفروسية، والذي يشمل زيادة عدد مسارات شارع الفروسية ليصبح بأربعة مسارات في كل اتجاه مع طريق خدمي على كلا جانبي الطريق، وذلك بهدف تعزيز الانسيابية المرورية وزيادة الطاقة الاستيعابية للشارع لاستيعاب الحركة المرورية الحالية والمستقبلية.
كما سيتم من خلال المشروع تحويل دواري الفروسية ومعيذر إلى تقاطعات بإشارات مرورية لتخفيف الازدحام المروري، إلى جانب توفير إنارة الشوارع وممرات للمشاة والدرّاجات الهوائية، وغيرها من الأعمال.
ستقوم هيئة الأشغال العامة بتركيب اللوحات الإرشادية لتنبيه مستخدمي الطريق بهذا التغيير المروري، وتهيب بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
